By Laperozy Eric ANTANANARIVO (Xinhua) -- Only 44 percent of 21 millions habitants in Madagascar have access to drinking water, an official of an NGO WaterAid said here on Thursday.
Only 48 percent of the 21 millions habitants in Madagascar have access to sanitation while only 7 percent of Malagasy people have access to sanitation following international standard, the representative of WaterAid to Madagascar, Lovy Rasolofomanana, told Xinhua.
Rasolofomanana also said over 11 million people in Madagascar have no access to drinking water; the numbers of Malagasy who have no latrine are not far from that. Read more >>
