...Swaziland joins SADC in stopping DJ president

SWAZILAND and the rest of the SADC community have vowed to make sure that they prevent Madagascar’s president Andry Rajoelina from addressing the 2010 United Nations General Assembly.
Rajoelina is already in New York with his delegation, the president was rejected by SADC after forcefully taking power from the then president Marc Ravalomanana last year.
SADC, especially its peace and security organ Troika, which was under the leadership of His Majesty King Mswati III, took a decision that as a region they would not embrace anyone who stages a coup to overthrow a legitimate government.
Last year, SADC successfully stopped Rajoelina from taking the floor at the UN General Assembly.

 According to a report from the Swaziland Broadcasting and Information Services (SBIS), it is not clear how things will turn out this year following that UN chairmanship will be going to Switzerland, a member of the European Union, which has members who are feared to be strong supporters of Rajoelina.
SADC remains resolute in its decision to have Rajoelina rejected as a lawful leader and therefore is calling for him to be refuse a chance to address a gathering of lawfully recognised leaders like the UN General Assembly.
